Review of Open House Germany 2023
In 2023, Open House Germany finally took place live again. With around 400 participants, we spent an exiting event day on which we gladly look back. You missed Open House Germany or want to recall the highlights of the event?
This page gives you an overview.
Keynote Speech Robert Bosch GmbH: “Use of CarMaker for our Automated Driving Development Tool Chain”
Thomas Classen, Project Lead Automated Driving Alliance, provided an overview of what simulation can achieve in ADAS development and how this potential can optimally be leveraged in his keynote which kicked off Open House Germany 2023.
Session 1: A New Approach to Democratize Virtual Vehicle Development
“Hi! My name is VIRTO and together, we bring virtual vehicle development to a new level.” This was the surprising message of session 1 at Open House Germany 2023, presenting a completely new product. What does VIRTO have to offer and who can benefit from it?
Find out more and meet VIRTO.
Session 2: CarMaker 12: Meet the Challenges in AD and EV Development
This year again, the CarMaker release has many innovations to offer. Our product experts demonstrated them live in session 2 at Open House Germany 2023: Additional HD Scenarios, the support of Physical Sensor Models in MovieNX, a new battery model for even more detailed tests of electric vehicles and much more await you with the release 12.0 of our simulation software.

Session 3: Continuous Development - From Digital to Physical
You might know us as the company behind CarMaker – but IPG Automotive is much more than a software developer. We stand for continuous development, as our experts explained in session 3 at Open House Germany 2023. From the virtual ECU to testing in the real-world vehicle with the vehicle-in-the-loop technology, we support you during the entire development and test process.
We offer the full package.

Discover live demonstrations and product innovations
The accompanying trade exhibition provided space for our numerous partners and customers to showcase novelties and innovative solutions from their own product portfolio. Furthermore, joint projects with IPG Automotive such as the IMAGinE project were presented to the visitors in the exhibition area. Among the highlights were also live demonstrations and driving simulators at the booths.
After the launch auf VIRTO in session 1, we from IPG Automotive presented our new product, the Virtual Vehicle Development Tool Suite (VIRTO), in the exhibition as well. Of course, our software and hardware solutions were also displayed in the exhibition. From the latest CarMaker release to SensCompute and SensInject to our Vehicle-in-the-Loop solution: visitors were able to experience the entire range of our product portfolio live.
Personal exchange and networking on site
The personal exchange at our events is a matter very close to our hearts. Therefore, participants had the opportunity to network and discuss topics during the breaks and at the get-together in the exhibition area at the end of the day.
