• CarMaker Session Log (accessible from the menu in CM Main GUI > Simulation)
• VISSIM IF Log (accessible from the VISSIM IF Add-On GUI). Also, try setting Additional Log to 1.

2 .Check License availability

• Ensure that the PTV Vissim license is available. For example, if it is a dongle license, ensure that the dongle is plugged in and detected
• Try starting PTV Vissim independently and ensure that this works fine

3. Check if the VISSIM IF pre-defined examples work

• TestRun examples are provided as part of the VISSIM IF Add-On installation in CarMaker
• Try simulating these examples to ensure if they are working

Specific recommendations:

1. Pre-defined examples work fine, but the simulation is stuck when using user-specific road files

• Ensure an optimal folder structure as recommended in the documentation. Typically, all files are located under one sub-folder
• Ensure that the steps described in VISSIM IF documentation are completed
  
  • Are the Vehicle Composition, Vehicle Input (Volume), etc. available in the .inpx file (road network for PTV Vissim tool) ?
  • Is the Driving Simulator set to active in Network Settings of the .inpx file ?
