The French office of IPG Automotive is located only a few kilometers from the most famous sight of France, the Eiffel Tower. Eleven associates work from here to bring software and hardware products to the French and African market. Managing Director Sylvain Chazot bundles versatile expertise in his team that has already been a part of the IPG Automotive Group since 2016.
Essential steps in the development of the automobile took place in France: The first car factories opened as early as 1891, and a French driver set the first speed record in history in an electric car in 1898. Today, important international players of the industry are located in France, which is visible in the diverse customer portfolio of the French team: from major OEMs such as Stellantis or the Renault Group to tier 1 suppliers including Valeo.
To meet the different customer needs and adapt the products in the best way possible, the team brings a lot of engineering experience to the table. Half of the team consists of application engineers that collaborate closely with engineers of the customer organizations to integrate IPG Automotive’s solutions seamlessly into local processes. Over the last years, they gained experience especially with hardware-in-the-loop by installing test benches for different application areas such as ADAS.
In addition to the strong French market, the team also focuses on the African continent, especially the North African countries. In this international context, they can build on the extensive network of Managing Director Sylvain Chazot, but also on the work of Key Account Management and Marketing.
One result of this work is the annual Open House France event that last took place on June 13, 2024. With inspiring sessions on CarMaker as well as VIRTO and exciting live demos, they connected with their partners and customers and strengthened business relationships. Read the full recap here.
