ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo Europe 2024: Shaping the vehicle development process with IPG Automotive

From June 4–6, visitors were able to discover the latest technologies in the field of autonomous vehicles and ADAS at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition grounds in Germany. In addition to the exhibition, the accompanying conference provided the opportunity to exchange ideas and information on the developments and innovations in the field of ADAS and automated driving. IPG Automotive attended the conference and the exhibition on all three days.

Focus on the vehicle development process for ADAS and AV applications

During the three exhibition days, our booth with different stations interactively guided interested visitors through the vehicle development process for ADAS and AV applications. We provided multifaceted insights into IPG Automotive’s products and solutions: From data-driven development processes in CarMaker, to VIRTO for the management of digital twins and simulation data, to the acceleration of development for software-defined vehicles with virtual ECUs together with our partner Synopsys.

Another highlight was the presentation of the newest addition to our test system family, a combined test system associating the Brake-in-the-Loop and Steering-in-the-Loop solutions. The system enables modeling of real brake and engineering systems in one event chain and testing in a virtual environment. Tests of real components in the described setup increase process efficiency and offer reproducible conditions for system validation at any point in time. On the third day of the accompanying conference, Martin Herrmann, Senior Business Development Manager ADAS and Automated Driving at IPG Automotive, held a presentation on “Real-time tests of automated driving functions using parallelization”. He presented a possible approach to manage the arising challenges for HIL simulation caused by the complexity of autonomous vehicles, the number of sensors and the constantly rising data rates. IPG Automotive was able to give attendees an overview of solutions to master current and future challenges of the automotive industry in the field of autonomous and automated driving.

We would like to thank all interested visitors, customers and partners for coming by our booth and exchanging insightful ideas. You were not able to attend ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo, but you are interested in the topics we presented? Get in touch with us!
