IPG Automotive India participated in the 9th edition of Formula Bharat from January 22 – 27, 2025 as a solutions partner. This prestigious event replicates the global student Formula series hosted in eleven countries per year and is currently the only South Asian event recognized in the Formula Student Global World Rankings database.
Formula Bharat is an Indian Formula Student engineering design competition in which students from colleges and universities all over the country compete with a life-size formula-style vehicle in areas of engineering design, overall cost, marketability, and dynamic performance.
Formula Bharat takes place every January at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. The competition attracts over 70 teams from all over India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and is supported by a volunteer group of more than 200 reviewers, judges, and industry experts from all over the globe.
At this year's Formula Bharat, IPG Automotive India took part in enabling teams with our advanced simulation tools, offering insights into vehicle dynamics, simulation-based design, and virtual testing. As a solutions partner, IPG Automotive India empowered participants by providing CarMaker licenses which enabled participants to create digital twins of the vehicle, racetrack, and other infrastructure in a virtual environment. Using our solutions, teams were able to conduct multiple trial runs and experiments in the virtual world.
We are incredibly proud of our involvement in Formula Bharat and the valuable contributions we have made to the event. Moving forward, we will continue to support and mentor student teams, while exploring new ways to engage with the broader motorsport community. Our participation in this prestigious event is just one of the many ways in which we continue to make a difference in the world of automotive simulation.
Stay tuned for more updates and thank you to everyone who contributed to this successful event!
