Our Lap Time Simulation Competition continues to be highly popular with university students and teams. To date we have 105 students from 44 separate university teams that are benefitting from complimentary CarMaker licenses! Our simulation tool is proving invaluable for teams to develop their vehicles and provide the ability to predict the performance of various vehicle configurations. Along with guiding the whole engineering design process it ensures that their preparation time is well spent and through persistent testing they will be in the best possible position of reaping the highest reward.

We continue to support the iMechE Formula Student competition by providing technical support to the participating student teams. IPG Automotive UK have so far hosted two online webinars with a third scheduled for Friday 9th June as part of a final round-up of training sessions to help the students troubleshoot problems, optimize their vehicles' performance and put their queries directly to our experts. For this webinar we will be briefly joined by guest and our Chief Judge – Dan Jones from Mercedes AMG.

Overall, IPG Automotives’ support is instrumental in helping the iMechE Formula Student competition participants build high-performance race cars that can compete against other university teams around the world.
