Today, many of our customers use our software to simulate forklifts and other special vehicles that might not come to your mind first when thinking of our simulation platform CarMaker. Nevertheless, the advantages our products offer convinced these customers to use adapted versions of our software every day.

Variable load capacity
Forklifts, swap body transporters, low loaders: they move heavy loads that are not permanently attached to the vehicle chassis. CarMaker and TruckMaker offer different options to vary the load volume during simulation time.

Virtual testing of autonomous vehicle operation on the plant grounds, at the airport or indoors has other requirements for environment simulation than driving on roads or dirt tracks. Thanks to their flexible setup, CarMaker and TruckMaker can also accommodate these types of scenarios.

Our broad range of physical radar, lidar, camera and ultrasonic sensor models is perfect to test autonomous forklift trucks virtually. In this way, you achieve a high test coverage and depth without falling back on physical prototypes to test safety-relevant functions.
