Young, dynamic, efficient: With seven heads, IPG Automotive Sweden is one of the smallest teams in the global group. Nevertheless, the subsidiary located in Gothenburg has developed into a key player for customers in Scandinavia. The team, led by Managing Director Mikael Skogsberg, relies on close collaboration both in-house and with customers as well as on a wide range of expertise.

The Key Account Managers focus primarily on customers which for the Swedish team consist of OEMs and Tier 1s across the Scandinavian region. In addition to support from Germany and the international locations, they can also rely on local product expertise: Application Engineers provide technical support and adapt the diverse product portfolio to the exact needs of customers. Innovative business development, which is always on the lookout for new fields of application and ideas and professional business coordination for ideal project management complete the team. IPG Automotive Sweden thus covers the entire spectrum of cooperation: from technical and individual support to local project management and educational measures such as webinars, user training and further education.

Following growing market potentials, the Swedish team is currently putting a special emphasis on TruckMaker, IPG Automotive’s simulation software for trucks. At VECS, one of the largest automotive trade fairs in Northern Europe that took place in May, they demonstrated to more than 1,400 visitors how TruckMaker supports the development of autonomous driving functions in trucks. With a driving simulator and a VR station to explore the cockpit, they brought the software and expertise in this area to life.
