Comparé au système de test Steering-in-the-Loop, EPS-in-the-Loop convient aux clients qui n'ont pas besoin de tester le système de direction dans le cadre de l'ensemble du système. Cette solution compacte ne nécessite qu'un niveau d'équipement de base, mais un large éventail de tests de fonctionnalité peut être effectué pour les systèmes de direction électrique.
Pour cela, le calculateur EPS et le moteur associé sont connectés à un servomoteur qui génère en temps réel les cas de chargement calculés lors de la simulation.
