Systems of National Instruments are widely used in vehicle development. We have made it our goal to provide our customers with strong support for their HIL tests and therefore have been increasing our portfolio of I/O modules for HIL systems with a diverse range of functions for some time. Because in addition to our simulation solutions CarMaker, TruckMaker and MotorcycleMaker, hardware products for real-time applications are one of our other core competencies. Thanks to our broad product portfolio we are able to cater to our customers’ wide range of applications.
Not all hardware is alike
When developing and testing vehicle components and systems, the hardware used is essential, no matter if it’s individual modules, hardware-in-the-loop systems or complex test benches. We know that high-performance hardware components with a range of functions tailored to the application make all the difference in development and testing. Therefore we develop and offer interface modules for real-time simulation systems: so-called M-Modules. In addition to a range of standard interface modules for CAN (Controller Area Network) or FlexRay connections, many special solutions such as a module for highly precise wheel speed simulation or a module for ultrasonic sensor control are now available.
Powerful modules for National Instruments systems
There is a variety of special applications – some of the particularly suitable modules now also support the PXI hardware platform by National Instruments. We now offer a special carrier board called F1001 for this, which you can use to integrate the standardized M-Modules into a PXI system. A custom device for VeriStand offered by IPG Automotive enables an intuitive configuration. This solution caters even to special interface requirements in PXI-based systems.
