CarMaker User Training

Requirements: Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics

Duration: 2 days

Target group: Engineers in the fields of

  • vehicle dynamics simulation

Objectives: The CarMaker User Training offers information on the following topics:

  • Overview of the CarMaker environment
  • Parameterization of the virtual environment (vehicle, tires, road, maneuver, driver) and starting the simulation
  • Use of all standard CarMaker functions
  • Displaying animations and diagrams
  • Post-processing
  • Using CarMaker with Simulink
  • Introduction to particular areas of application, such as ADAS or test automation
CarMaker / HIL Add-on

Requirements: Prior participation in a user training course (recommended)

Duration: 1 day

Target group: HIL users: simulation specialists, electronics specialists

Objectives: The add-on supplements the User Training with HIL-specific topics:

  • Using CarMaker on an HIL test bench
  • Configuring I/O
  • Configuring bus systems
  • Configuring Fail Safe Testers
  • ECU Diagnostics
Formula CarMaker Training

Requirements: The participating team must have registered for the Formula CarMaker program.

Duration: 1 day

Target group: Students involved in a Formula CarMaker team

Objectives: Applying our simulation solutions in the Formula Student and Formula Student Electric competition series:

  • Overview of the CarMaker environment and IPGKinematics
  • Parameterization of a driver model
  • Developing and optimizing the suspension
  • Post-processing
  • Using CarMaker with Simulink
