Open House 2018 - The meeting point for the virtual test driving industry
Innovative ideas for virtual testing in vehicle development
At our Open House, a whole day was devoted to virtual test driving. After many successful years of hosting the event in Karlsruhe, we welcomed our guests at Open House 2018 in an even bigger location in Darmstadt. Employees of IPG Automotive presented the latest in virtual prototyping technology, the automotive systems engineering method, and last but not least, the new features of the release 7.0 of the CarMaker product family. In live sessions, we demonstrated new features of the release 7.0 that will help you establish virtual test driving even more firmly as part of your development process.
This year's keynote by Continental Corporation addressed the challenges involved in the development, testing, and validation of advanced driver assistance systems and highly automated driving functions, and how to meet these using virtual test driving. At our IPG Automotive booths, we showed our visitors how to profit from a broad range of possible applications of virtual test driving throughout all stages of the vehicle development process. As a solution provider, we help you establish virtual test driving as part of your development process. We hope that we’ll see you at next year’s Open House where we’ll once again present the latest in virtual test driving.
Here are some impressions of Open House 2018.
At 8:30 am, we opened the doors.
The “Hardware & Engineering Services” booth of IPG Automotive, for instance, presented the demonstrator of the Steering-in-the-Loop Test Bench. Our colleagues from the specialist departments were on-site and happy to answer any questions.
and the sensor model Radar RSI.
In the third session “Virtual Test Driving 7.0 – Release Features in a Nutshell“, the introduction of CarMaker on High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters was greeted with enthusiastic applause.
