Robert Bosch GmbH is the world's largest automotive supplier and uses CarMaker from IPG Automotive for various applications in the development of safety-critical systems. Thomas Classen presents use cases from different fields using a variety of examples. Specifically, in the ADAS (automated driving and advanced driver assistance systems) domain, the simulation capabilities of CarMaker provide a good base for simulation activities at Robert Bosch GmbH. The keynote provides an overview of what simulation can achieve in ADAS and which elements are necessary to leverage this potential. In January 2023, a cooperation between Robert Bosch GmbH and CARIAD has been established for new ADAS driving functionalities in the SAE L2 and L3 levels in vehicles of the Volkswagen Group. Thomas Classen gives a brief introduction to this cooperation as a further outlook on how development in the ADAS field is progressing.
